Community organizers in Houston standing together at golden hour
Faith-Rooted Community Organizing · Houston

Educate. Unite. Organize. Act.

Positive community change, built block by block.

Al Maa'uun Houston is a faith-rooted organizing home advancing community change through education, coalition building, grassroots organizing, and action plans we develop and deploy together with neighbors across Houston.

Our Mission

Spreading positive community change in Houston — through education, coalition, organizing, and action.

Rooted in the Qur'anic call of Sūrat al-Maa'uun, we teach what our neighbors need to know, we build coalitions across faith and street, we organize block by block, and we develop and deploy action plans that win concrete change for Houston families.

How we work

The Four Pillars

01
Education

Political education, Know Your Rights, and faith-rooted study that prepares neighbors to lead.

02
Coalition Building

Bridging mosques, churches, tenants, workers, and civic groups into shared power.

03
Organizing

One-to-ones, house meetings, and base-building that turn relationships into a movement.

04
Action Plans

We develop strategy with the community and deploy campaigns that deliver measurable change.
